9 Mile Ale is our tried and true English-style pale ale. Winner of the 2019 CBAC Gold Medal in the English Pale Ale style category.
Brewed with a focus on balance between malt and hops and is meant to be enjoyed with family, friends and good neighbours.
Farmer. Soldier. Neighbour. Friend.
We all wear different hats from time to time.
Angus Stout is inspired by our Head Brewer's Grandpa Angus. An oatmeal stout with an edge - suitable for whatever hat your are wearing!
Appearance is black as night with a tan head. Expect roasted coffee and dark chocolate notes.
Our Anniversary Ale is brewed once a year to celebrate our birthday! The 2020 Vintage celebrates our 5th Anniversary and is the first to be enjoyed during a global pandemic.
The beer is a funny one - we call it a Biere de Garde but it definitely blurs style guidelines. Some vintages are more like a Belgian dubbel - very sweet and malty. Others are classic Biere de Garde, with a nice tartness that lingers on the back end. Discover 2020!
Do you ever get bored of drinking delicious beers that taste like, well... beer? Do you get excited about fresh, sweet beets from the garden in summer? Well, here is the beer for you! Beet Picker Ale is all about the delicious, earthy goodness of beets. Yeah, you read that right. Beets.
This beer pours a brilliant red (seriously, it's super red) with foam varying from white to blush pink, depending on the light. An unmistakable aroma follows, earthy and smooth. A rich roundness of fresh beets winds through as you drink. Quickly mellowing, the garden-fresh flavours leading to a gentle sweetness that lingers shortly on the palate.
This beer uses beets grown at Spring Creek Garden (Outlook), as well as malt from our good friends at Prairie Malt (Biggar), in the mash phase of brewing. Additionally, to really pump up more beet flavour, we added more of those funky little sugary red lumps into the fermentor. Think dry-hopping, but with beets.
Beers. Beets. Battlestar Galactica.
(Not that original, I know. But really, when else will that line actually work?)
Our Blade City Beer pays tribute to the long legacy of the Saskatoon Blades, a legacy which extends to the early days of the downtown Saskatoon Arena to our current winning hockey team.
A pre-prohibition cream ale we made with the Saskatoon Blades, perfect for those shinny games on the pond.
Revisiting our Single Hop Series, the spotlight is on the classic American hop, Chinook. Normally known for its strong pine characteristics, look for delicate floral and sweet fruit notes. Finishing off with a traditional note of grapefruit zest, this beer is bright and refreshing!
In our Single Hop Series, we focus on all the potential hoppy deliciousness from a single hop variety. Acting as a perfect companion, our American Pale Ale blends well with the range of hop flavours and aromas.
A nutmeg & cinnamon infused cider from Crossmount Cider Company, located just south of Saskatoon. A perfect cider for the fall and winter season!
Ella Pale is a kiss of Southern Hemisphere hops, walking a fine line between a pale ale and an IPA. Enjoyed by hop connoisseurs and novices alike!
Beer is as old as Babylon, and from the start, women were the ones who stumbled upon, and carried out the role of brewing it. Full Circle is a tribute to this return to roots. Our golden strong ale is brewed with pomegranate, honey & ginger and is the fun result of collaboration by the creative and strong women of 9ML.
The Golden Ticket is pretty straight forward - an accessible drinkable and widely enjoyed Belgian-style blonde. Belgian yeast is the star here - it smooths out both the hops and the malt and adds a bit of spicy character to the finish. Appearance is - you guessed it - golden!

Another harvest, and another crop of fresh hops! This is the 3rd iteration of this beer, and again, we are excited to showcase some of the best agricultural producers this province has to offer. Using malt barley from Rosthern (Maker's Malt), and fresh hops from Moosomin (JGL Shepherd Farms), this beer reflects it's namesake well.
This year, we are showcasing a rather unique hop, Sorachi Ace. This hop was originally bred and developed in Japan for Sapporo Breweries and is famed for its unique aroma and flavour. Sorachi Ace hops have the "Love It or List It" kinda vibe. With this year's crop from JGL, we are big in camp "love it"!
As you experience the aroma for the first time, you immediately notice notes of dark spice, supported by a light herbal undertone. If you have the patience and self-restraint and don't immediately take a sip (we generally don't), you may notice light notes of fresh lemon zest that gently mingle through the aroma. Once you take a sip, those lemon and herbal notes create a dynamic and engaging flavour. This beer finishes with malty notes of sweet biscuit and hints of graham cracker.
Hybrid Vigour is the result of high-quality malts and non-traditional approach to a classic style.
In this beer, our brewing team showcases a delightful Vienna malt base from Makers Malt in Rosthern, SK and turns it on its ear - we take the German Märzen style (traditionally a lager) and ferment it with American Ale yeast.
The result is bigger than the sum of its parts!
Appearance is a light amber. Expect caramel and bready flavours throughout.
This recipe was provided by our friends at Hops Connect, with select breweries participating in this cross-Canada collaboration brew. Isolation Nation showcases Sasquatch, a new and exciting dual-purpose patented hop variety. Sasquatch hops were bred and grown in Pemberton, BC by Hops Connect, and is Canada's first bred and patented hop!
The aroma of this beer is subtle, starting light with soft floral top notes, supported by a smooth resin character and hints of fresh orange zest. Bright and clear, this beer has a beautiful straw colour to support the fresh aromas. As you drink this beer, those same floral, citrus and resin flavours gently flow through your palate, underscored by a light bready malt flavour. Some of our tasters recorded hints of fresh pineapple as they sampled this beer more, pairing incredibly well with the light hop bitterness at the end.
With a lower alpha acid content than some other popular aroma varieties, this hop offers a softer aroma and bitterness than many other North American options. Offering lower bitterness, we heavily dry-hopped this beer, to really express the subtle flavour and aroma of this uniquely Canadian hop.
A big thanks to both BSG for providing the malt for this beer, along with Hops Connect for the hops used.
Collaborating with The Garrys, this release supports their new album Häxan: Witchcraft Through the Ages. A Nordic Farmhouse inspired ale, with a bit of Saskatchewan witchery thrown in.
Pouring a deep golden colour with a slight pink haze, this beer has an aroma of sweet fruits, edging into bright cranberry notes. With rosehips and juniper berries in the boil kettle, and fermented with highbush cranberries foraged by Boreal Heartland (Air Ronge). Slightly tart on the palate and then sweeping into sweet cranberry notes. Pouring a foamy head with high carbonation, this beer makes for a refreshing and bright experience.
In case you're curious, Kärleksdryck translates as "love potion" from Swedish. No cause for concern though, it's much simpler to drink than it sounds. It does make you wonder if the Garrys brought some magic to this brew.
We're not saying The Garrys are magical, but... we're not not saying it either.
The OC Collab started as a collaboration with our good neighbours at Odd Couple Restaurant (located across the street on 20th Street W, Saskatoon).
The recipe was designed with proprietors Andy Yuen and Rachel Kong, embodying the spirit of collaboration and the drive to make something greater than the sum of our parts.
Appearance is golden. Aroma has notes of lemongrass and ginger, with ginger more present in the body and the slow heat of Szechuan pepper building on the back end.
The air is getting chilly, flannels and vests are the go-to fashion choice, and the infamous PSL reigns supreme. Adding just over 20kg of freshly roasted and pureed SK-grown pumpkins to the mash phase, we once again have to thank our friends at Black Fox Farms for their great produce!
With a nuanced aroma of chocolate ganache and fresh espresso, this beer pours the colour of dark cocoa, with a creamy, nearly velvet-like head. You may notice notes of roasted pumpkin, spices, and hints of vanilla. On the palate, there are strong notes of rich, dark chocolate up front, cresting into a deeply round maltiness balanced by warm spices. Look for notes of fresh-baked cinnamon, nutmeg, or allspice hiding in plain sight. Thanks to the dark malts used, this finishes with a gentle bitterness reminiscent of freshly-made coffee.
This is the first time that we've brewed this beer since the fall of 2016, way back when the Cubs won the World Series and Pokemon Go was a phenomenon no one really understood. If you're drinking this beer at home, we definitely suggest putting it into a tulip or brandy-style glass to concentrate and accentuate the aromas within.
Straight Cut Sour is a dry-hopped sour beer, created using a quick kettle souring process, much like a straight cut header on a combine speeds up the process of harvest.
Aroma and flavour have notes of tart stone fruit. Appearance is straw coloured.
In the not too distant past, the brunch tradition took on a whole new meaning - cracking eggs for one and cheersing mimosas over zoom, as the brunch vibe drifted into the afternoon.
Sunny-Side is a Berliner Weiss with hints of grapefruit peel and a tartness that's sure to wake you up! And at 2.9%, it won't crack up the rest of your day.
With the return of public brunching, Sunny-Side reminds us that, though we were isolated, we were never alone. The future is bright and is best shared with friends. Developed in partnership with Sask egg producers.
Everybody’s favourite root beer in a big kid bottle!
