Farmer. Soldier. Neighbour. Friend.
We all wear different hats from time to time.
Angus Stout is inspired by our Head Brewer's Grandpa Angus. An oatmeal stout with an edge - suitable for whatever hat your are wearing!
Appearance is black as night with a tan head. Expect roasted coffee and dark chocolate notes.
Our Blade City Beer pays tribute to the long legacy of the Saskatoon Blades, a legacy that extends from the early days of the downtown Saskatoon Arena to our current winning hockey team.
A dry and crisp cream ale we made with the Saskatoon Blades, perfect for those shinny games on the pond.
Some trends are fleeting, some rivalries last forever...
Eagles and Bulldogs is named after a couple of White Mud Hockey League rivals - the Abbey Eagles and the Cabri Bulldogs. Two teams that never left anything on the ice when they played each other.
This hazy, orange beer is chasing that current hazy, late hop trend - very juicy but not too chewy or latently bitter, as some examples of the style can be. Expect notes of tangelo, mandarin and grapefruit in this summertime quencher.
Ella Pale is a kiss of Southern Hemisphere hops, walking a fine line between a pale ale and an IPA. Enjoyed by hop connoisseurs and novices alike!
We have brewed this beer every year since we opened in 2015. Once a year. That's it.
Holiday Cheer is our annual Christmas release, a Belgian strong ale brewed with vanilla and cinnamon - and this year, fermented with gin oak staves from our friend at Black Fox. Sure to bring the holiday cheer whenever you might drink it!
Hybrid Vigour is the result of high-quality malts and a non-traditional approach to a classic style.
In this beer, our brewing team showcases a delightful Vienna malt base from Makers Malt in Rosthern, SK and turns it on its ear - we take the German Märzen style (traditionally a lager) and ferment it with American Ale yeast.
The result is bigger than the sum of its parts!
Appearance is light amber. Expect caramel and bready flavours throughout.
Mindset is everything and this carefree addition to our cans underlines the power of staying sunny!
Keep on the SunnySide is a Berliner Weiss with a tartness that's sure to wake you up! And at 2.9%, it won't crack up the rest of your day. Expect a light body and tart grapefruit notes - think a radler minus the fruit juice.
Longview Pilsner is a classic Czech-style Pilsner, sprung from our long-standing relationship with Syngenta Canada and based on a pilsner malt version of their Synergy barley.
When life throws us curveballs in Saskatchewan, we take a Longview!
"This version of Abbey Dubbel has spent the last 3 years in a Black Fox gin barrel. I get nice botanical aromatics and dark rich flavours of prune, oak, vanilla and fennel. I'm no monk - this is a tribute to my hometown." - GP
"Our take on a tripel is dark gold in color with a nice pillowy, white head. I get slight notes of grape, candy sugar, and spice with a hint of alcohol heat. We aged this for three months prior to bottling soften the edges" - GP
"Happenstance has its origins in a homebrew recipe, originally brewed by my co-Founder Shawn just as he met his future wife Deyne. Honey malt and Galaxy hops lend a rich, tropical sweetness. This beer can lead to romance!" - GP
"Our Imperial Pilsner was originally the 999th beer brewed at 9 Mile Legacy. Ingredients are kept simple with a long lagering process. I get white wine notes and grassy undertones and consider it one of my best beers to date" - GP
The inaugaral 4 styles from our new Nano Select Series. This is a passion project for our brewery and our head brewer Garrett, focusing on traditional and strong beer styles. With a delicate balance between boldness and subtlety, these beers have either been lagered, stored, or barrel-aged to create the best expression and experience we can.
We are thrilled to partner with SWT in creating this German-style wheat beer. SWT has invested in our communities with good service, local jobs, and the neighbourly support when it's needed. The durum in this beer was grown right here in Saskatchewan, so we designed this beer to be enjoyed here.
Pouring golden with a slightly hazy appearance, this beer has a large pillowy white head. Subtle notes of banana and fruit are present, with hints of bubblegum on the nose. The use of durum and malted wheat create a uniquely smooth mouthfeel with hints of vanilla that help balance out the dry finish. Overall results? A perfect springtime ale!
The OC Collab started as a collaboration with our good neighbours at Odd Couple Restaurant (located across the street on 20th Street W, Saskatoon).
The recipe was designed with proprietors Andy Yuen and Rachel Kong, embodying the spirit of collaboration and the drive to make something greater than the sum of our parts.
Appearance is golden. Aroma has notes of lemongrass and ginger, with ginger more present in the body and the slow heat of Szechuan pepper building on the back end.
Rafiki Moja IPA is named for an old boat, moored at the mouth of Desolation Sound near Lund, BC. It is a classic West Coast IPA and hop aroma and bitterness are ever-present.
We use a combination of Chinook and Mosaic hops, along with some Aussie friends.
Naturally fermented with traditional cider cultures, blended with tart raspberries and dry hopped.
Naturally fermented with traditional cider cultures, and aged on apricot puree.
Naturally fermented with traditional cider cultures, then aged on fresh cherries.
Stand-Up Brown is an old homebrew recipe named after Shawn's Grandpa who played the stand up base in a jazz band. Being one of Shawn and Garrett's early homebrew recipes, this American-style brown ale has always been a favourite. Stand-Up Brown is perfect for those crisp fall days, being a nice malty ale with a good amount of hops to balance it out.
Straight Cut Sour is a dry-hopped sour beer, created using a quick kettle souring process, much like a straight cut header on a combine speeds up the process of harvest.
Aroma and flavour have notes of tart stone fruit. Appearance is straw coloured.
The Ticket is pretty straight forward - an accessible, drinkable, and widely enjoyed Belgian-style blonde. Belgian yeast is the star here - it smooths out both the hops and the malt and adds a bit of spicy character to the finish. Appearance is golden.
Check out the custom longneck painting in the taproom! And for those that are worried that your ol' standby has disappeared, don't worry. Still the same great drinking beer!
